GAMMA Investing LLC Boosts Stake in iShares MSCI EAFE ETF

GAMMA Investing LLC has recently announced an increase in its investment in the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (NYSEARCA:EFA). During the third quarter, GAMMA Investing raised its position by an impressive 18.4%, now holding a total of 3,798 shares after acquiring an additional 590 shares. This move reflects the firm’s confidence in the ETF, which is designed to track the performance of international stocks in developed markets, excluding the U.S. and Canada.

At the end of the third quarter, GAMMA Investing reported that its holdings in the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF were valued at approximately $318,000. This increase in shares is part of a broader trend as many institutional investors have recently reallocated their portfolios to include more shares of this ETF.

Several other institutional investors have also made significant purchases of the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF. For instance, JPMorgan Chase & Co. raised its holdings by 17.6% in the first quarter of the year, owning over 27 million shares valued at approximately $2.19 billion after acquiring an additional 4,116,234 shares. Envestnet Asset Management also significantly increased its stake by 33.1%, holding about 8.77 million shares valued at nearly $686.6 million after an additional purchase during the second quarter.

Furthermore, Natixis Advisors LLC notably boosted its position by a staggering 764.7%, now controlling approximately 1.94 million shares worth $151.6 million. Similarly, TD Asset Management Inc. increased its holdings by 31.0%, and Toronto Dominion Bank more than doubled its stake by 109.4%, now owning over 1.35 million shares valued at $105.9 million. Overall, about 79.80% of the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF is currently held by institutional investors.

The ETF has demonstrated a strong performance with a 50-day moving average of $81.04 and a 200-day moving average of $79.98. Over the past year, the ETF has seen a low of $65.68 and a high of $84.56, indicating notable volatility and opportunity for investors.
