Leading Gainers

Top Losers

On the downside, the stocks that hindered the Nifty's performance were Power Grid and Shriram Finance, which experienced declines during the trading session.

Sector Performance

In terms of sector performance, all sectors on the NSE closed in the green, with the exception of Nifty Realty and PSU Bank sectors, indicating widespread market optimism.

Broader Market Trends

The broader markets, however, displayed slightly weaker performance with the BSE MidCap index rising by 0.31% and the SmallCap index moving up by 0.76% during the trade.

Market Breadth Analysis

Market breadth favored the buyers today, where a total of 2,334 stocks advanced, while 1,623 declined, and 93 remained unchanged on the BSE, reflecting a positive sentiment among investors.

Currency Update

In currency trading, the Indian rupee closed largely unchanged against the US dollar at 84.49, showing stability in the currency markets.
