Trump to Buy New Tesla to Support Elon Musk and Combat Radical Left
Former President Donald Trump has announced plans to purchase a “brand new Tesla” as a gesture of support for Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump addressed his supporters, stating, “To Republicans, Conservatives and all great Americans, Elon Musk is ‘putting it on the line’ in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! However, the Radical Left Lunatics are attempting to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s leading automakers, and aim to harm Elon and everything he represents.” He elaborated, “They tried to do it to me at the 2024 Presidential Ballot Box, but how did that work out? In any case, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American. Why should he be punished for using his incredible skills to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?”
This announcement comes as Tesla's stock has faced significant challenges recently. The share price has fallen by over 40% since the beginning of the year, dropping from an all-time high of $488.54 in December to around $225 per share as of Tuesday morning. Alongside this decline, there have been disturbing reports of protests against Tesla, including incidents of vandalism and violence against Tesla cars and stores. One protestor in Colorado even launched a Molotov cocktail at a Cybertruck, while another individual in New York City was filmed attacking a Cybertruck on the street.
Musk, who has led Tesla since 2008, has faced criticism from some left-leaning politicians and public figures for his interactions with the cryptocurrency DOGE. Notably, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have publicly criticized Musk's association with DOGE, describing him as “not smart” and “morally vacant.” Musk has indicated his intent to reduce federal spending by at least $1 trillion per year, affecting around 15% of the proposed budget for 2024.
During a recent interview on Fox Business, Musk expressed his commitment to spearhead initiatives related to DOGE for another year, reaffirming his intentions to reshape government operations and spending.
