JPMorgan Chase Increases Investment in iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF

On January 1, 2025, it was reported that JPMorgan Chase & Co. has significantly increased its investment in the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (NYSEARCA:HYG). During the third quarter of the year, the bank boosted its stake by 50%, acquiring an additional 614,400 shares. Following this purchase, JPMorgan Chase now holds 1,842,486 shares of this exchange-traded fund (ETF), with a total valuation of $147,952,000 based on the most recent filings with the SEC.

In addition to JPMorgan's investment, several other institutional investors and hedge funds have made notable changes to their stakes in the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF. For instance, Loomis Sayles & Co. L P raised its holdings by an impressive 2,933.8% within the same quarter and now owns 3,903,830 shares valued at $313,478,000 after purchasing an extra 3,775,150 shares. Meanwhile, BNP Paribas also increased its stake by 2,083.1%, acquiring 2,691,493 additional shares to own a total of 2,820,701 shares worth $226,502,000.

Moreover, the Toronto Dominion Bank enhanced its investment in the second quarter by 528.9%, now holding 682,340 shares valued at approximately $52,636,000 after an additional purchase of 573,840 shares. Similarly, Stairway Partners LLC increased its holdings by 19.0% in the third quarter, bringing its total to 297,484 shares worth $23,888,000 after acquiring 47,580 additional shares.
