In the audience during the announcement were notable tech leaders, including Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle. However, this project has ignited a clash between Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and Altman.

Trump highlighted the Stargate project as a joint venture aimed at investing up to $500 billion. The project is being carried forward with backing from OpenAI, along with Oracle and SoftBank. This initiative is intended to create essential data centers and the electricity generation necessary to advance rapidly evolving AI technologies.
